I appreciate any and all book and resource suggestions. As it happens, I have read the one you suggest here. What Jill Bolte-Taylor experienced was quite similar to my own &#039;psychotic&#039; adventure. Her&#039;s came with a stroke, mine with a manic episode (exacerbated by recently-started Effexor and recently-stopped Ativan). Despite the different causes, she ended up with similar insights to the ones I had. Like her, I had been unable to speak (though for a much shorter time period), and had found myself relying on other forms of communication and knowledge besides the verbal/analytical. The sense of oneness she describes was also quite prominent in my experience.

I am deeply fascinated by anything about the brain, and especially if it connects with spirituality. I am glad to be reminded of that book. It may be time for a re-read and another attempt at getting in contact.

Thank you.</description>
