--Thank you, Lili. I'm looking forward to it too. This feels like what the universe called me toward almost ten years ago (3-19-2000) when I had my psychotic break/religious ecstasy. It has taken a decade for me to sort out my thoughts and emotions, find strength in my heart, open myself to larger forces and states of mind, accept my fate, and connect with others. Now I feel ready to say what has been building inside me for a very long time, starting even before the break in 2000. I can only hope some people out there hear me. Thank you for being part of my audience.

--As I wrote that last sentence, I realized this is not about 'me' and 'my' readers. It is about something I refer to with the word 'God,'' which is using me as one of its many, many voices. To the best of my ability, I want to step aside and let this message pass through me to anyone and everyone who stops to listen. It may be that I am only giving voice to some unconscious processes that have been percolating in my brain ever since my life fell apart (which may have been soon after I was born.) It could well be that there is nothing outside of my 'self' driving this. But it is definitely beyond the scope of my ego, and it wants to help liberate the deeper parts of others. I can either ignore it or set it free. This blog shows the choice I've made.

--Bless the world and every creature that lives in it.

Still in ADD mode this is what I took from it:
After an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting today, you realized the time had come for you to insert a series of spiritual posts.
You feel that the minute one tries to verbally portray the broader influences that underly the universe, one gets caught in the trap of particularizing the universal. You describe why with examples.
So your upcoming ’spiritual’ riff will shy away from attempts to pin down metaphysical concepts. You will restrict yourself to laying down principles that are more or less unarguable. The product, you hope, will open the door for others to recognize that faith, transcendent feelings, and belief in mysterious influences are not closed to those who adhere to modern science.
These paragraphs set the stage for a series of posts that will, you hope, fulfill your promise to remove the roadblocks to spirituality set up by dogmatic atheism. You think that rational thought works. Logic possesses tremendous predictive power. But that does not mean that irrational influences and unsettling paradoxes do not exist. You believe that the ultimate nature of reality has not been settled by science.
You hope to prove that this position can be comfortably maintained by someone who values reason, recognizes the role of randomness in nature, keeps human tragedy in view, and accepts scientific findings.

Big work this :) I'm looking forward to it.
